Isidora Aguilera, a Medicine student at UDP, took the opportunity to internationalize her academic journey through an internship at the University of Ottawa in Canada.
Isidora describes her exchange experience as enriching both academically and personally, allowing her to discover new cultures, technologies, and approaches to medicine. She especially highlights simulation activities, artificial intelligence, and the Empathy Capstone, an experience that allowed her to understand different realities and put herself in the shoes of people experiencing homelessness.
In addition, working alongside students from different countries strengthened her communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, allowing her to build meaningful connections and take away valuable new learnings.
