International Relations promotes an agreement with the Chilean North American Institute to strengthen the learning of English and promote international mobility

On Friday, May 19, the General Directorate of International Relations (DGRII) signed an important agreement with the Chilean North American Institute.

This agreement was given within the framework of the month of the Internationalization of the UDP and establishes a series of benefits for the UDP student body and its alumni community, and includes the officials of the institution and their sons and daughters.

“In this case, we have been able to establish an alliance with the Chilean North American Institute, with whom we collaborate closely through our American Corner,” explained Anoek van den Berg, General Director of International Relations.

“This alliance is important because it will allow us to reinforce our students’ levels from B1 + to B2, which is required for any international mobility, apart from being able to prepare for international exams such as the TOEFL, which are taken directly at the Institute,” he added. she. In addition, it allows civil servants, alumni and teachers interested in improving their language skills to take any level of English.

Specifically, this agreement will allow access to different discounts, depending on their modality:

For courses taken at the University, discounts will be applied depending on the number of people enrolled. In courses of 15 to 20 students, a 25% discount will be applied to the fees for all courses taught by the company on the University campus.
For courses taken at the Institute’s headquarters, a 15% discount will be applied to the fees for all courses and programs taught by the company, with the regulation of a minimum of 5 students in the course corresponding to their level, as indicated. the corresponding evaluation.

To access these discounts, interested persons must present a certificate proving their link with the University. The student body must obtain this document through their Academic Directorate. Meanwhile, in the case of officials, said certificate must be issued by the Department of Human Resources of the University. Likewise, the members of the family group must present a receipt that certifies the condition or quality of family of the official, being recommended, for this, the presentation of certificates issued by the Civil Registry that allow accrediting the different civil statuses or of relationship.

Finally, it should be noted that the discounts apply to the Institute’s courses, with the exception of international tests that are prices set by external entities.
