Luz María Trujillo made an academic visit to Universidad del Rosario in Colombia

Thursday November 20th, 2025

Between October 22 and 25, Luz María Trujillo, a professor at the UDP School of Kinesiology, conducted an academic visit to Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. The visit was made possible through an internationalization grant awarded by UDP.

Since 2023, both universities have maintained an active collaboration through the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) program. This partnership has allowed for the integration of academic experiences between Chile and Colombia in the courses Cardiorespiratory Intervention (UDP) and Cardiopulmonary Clinic (Universidad del Rosario).

During her stay, the professor toured the laboratories, the simulation center, and other campus facilities. She also presented the work carried out by UDP Kinesiology to the faculty of the host university. Within this framework, both institutions organized the III Cardiovascular-Pulmonary Conference, focusing on “Updates: Exercise and Diabetes.” The event featured a theoretical-practical course that brought together specialists, academics, and students.

The visit served to strengthen institutional ties between Diego Portales University and Universidad del Rosario, opening new opportunities for academic and scientific collaboration. Furthermore, this initiative contributed to enriching the global and intercultural training of UDP Kinesiology students, broadening their learning horizons and professional development.
