“During my student exchange experience, I have experienced several changes in my academic approach, mainly related to the development of new skills. Entering classes in an unfamiliar environment, I have been forced to cultivate self-confidence and leave behind shyness. Furthermore, in European universities, I have had the opportunity to interact with diverse cultures, not only Spanish. Within my classroom, I have classmates of many nationalities, which has given me the opportunity to learn about each of them. their cultures. Despite being in a Spanish-speaking country, I am in constant contact with people who speak other languages. For example, my roommate is from the Czech Republic and my closest friend here is Italian, which has made me forced to develop my communication skills as we communicate in English. As far as my personal perspective is concerned, increasing self-confidence and independence have been crucial aspects of my growth. Learning to be alone has been one of the most difficult challenges, but also one of the most enriching.”
