Discover the world at UDP

2 May 2023

Under the motto “Discover the world at the UDP” and with the realization of multiple activities, the General Directorate of International Relations will celebrate, throughout May, the month of internationalization.

The program began on May 3 with the presentation of the new Internationalization Policy of the University. Then, for three weeks, workshops and talks will be held on topics related to international mobility programs and student exchange processes for Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the United States. On May 18, a Cultural and Gastronomic Fair will also be held on the Huechuraba campus.

“May will be a month full of international activities at the UDP. The objective is to provide information to the student body, officials and the academic establishment about the international opportunities to which the UDP has access”, said Anoek van den Berg, General Director of International Relations.

“This instance seeks to make visible and encourage all of us to feel part of the internationalization in the UDP (…). After all, internationalization seeks to add to our university work a dimension that provides, on the one hand, an international look at the professional profile of UDP alumni, and on the other hand, quality and relevance to our teaching and research” he added.

The program considers different instances focused on providing information on the different study opportunities that exist abroad for undergraduate and graduate students of the University. The agreements and discounts that the campus has with recognized institutes of languages and culture in Santiago will also be announced.

“To make these opportunities visible, representatives of embassies, language and cultural institutes will come. Partner universities will be connected to the talks, there will be fairs focused on some geographical areas, photographic contests and promotional talks of different international opportunities”, said Anoek van den Berg.

Most of these instances will be held in the Nicanor Parra Library and in the Lecture Hall. “We invite everyone to participate in the activities to discover the world through the UDP”, concluded the General Director of International Relations.
