As part of UDP International Month, the area brought together various national and international institutions that presented exchange and learning opportunities for members of the University community.<\/em><\/p>\n On Wednesday, May 13, in the hall<\/em> of the Nicanor Parra Library, the General Directorate of International Relations (DGRRII) held the International Month Fair, showcasing opportunities for global engagement, exchange, and learning for the university community.<\/p>\n The event featured 14 stands<\/em>, including the Goethe-Institut, Confucius Institute, Austrade, the Delegation of Belgium in Chile, the Embassies of Sweden and Poland in Chile, the French Institute, EducationUSA, the North American Institute, and the Guimar\u00e3es Rosa Institute, in addition to the institutional booths of Student Exchange, FuturX Alumni, American Corner, and Globaliza.<\/p>\n According to Anoek van den Berg, Director of the DGRRII, the celebration of International Month at UDP is essential, as it provides a platform for a variety of activities for students and faculty.<\/p>\n \u201cUDP International Month allows us to highlight opportunities that do not always reach academic units or students. We are also deeply interested in bringing different cultures closer together. It is very important that this international presence is not only reflected on paper, but also experienced in person,\u201d she emphasized.<\/p>\n Jennifer Guajardo, a Film and Audiovisual Production student, also highlighted the importance of creating these kinds of opportunities for students: \u201cI think it\u2019s great because many people are interested in going abroad (\u2026), but not everyone can do so due to financial reasons (\u2026). This gives them an opportunity, because many don\u2019t know how the process works. It provides guidance.\u201d<\/p>\n Likewise, Law student Vicente S\u00e1ez emphasized the importance of learning about international exchange opportunities: \u201cI find it very interesting to come and learn about the different opportunities available to go abroad, because I think it helps students understand that university is not only about getting a degree and starting work, but also about expanding beyond that.\u201d<\/p>\n To conclude the event, university staff presented a Latin American folkloric performance.<\/p>\n It is worth noting that throughout the month of May, the DGRRII will host several additional activities, including the screening of the documentary film \u201cMensch\u201d<\/em> by Pawel Wysocza\u0144ski on Friday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as an information session on international mobility opportunities in Latin America, scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As part of UDP International Month, the area brought together various national and international institutions that presented exchange and learning opportunities for members of the University community.
