{"id":12852,"date":"2026-04-23T12:26:31","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T16:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internacional.udp.cl\/?p=12852"},"modified":"2026-05-06T10:09:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T14:09:10","slug":"udp-explora-nuevas-colaboraciones-con-universidad-del-rosario-de-colombia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/internacional.udp.cl\/en\/udp-explora-nuevas-colaboraciones-con-universidad-del-rosario-de-colombia\/","title":{"rendered":"UDP explores new collaborations with Universidad del Rosario in Colombia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To strengthen and expand academic collaboration opportunities at UDP, Carlos Ahumada, International Cooperation Coordinator at the General Directorate of International Relations (DGRRII), and Aldo Madariaga, Director of the PhD in Social Sciences, held a meeting with Sandra Guar\u00edn, Director of International Relations at Universidad del Rosario, Colombia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting took place following the signing of a Comprehensive Admission Agreement, which will benefit students from UDP&#8217;s Master\u2019s in Social Research Methods and Universidad del Rosario&#8217;s Master\u2019s in International Political Studies. This agreement facilitates the articulation between both programs and promotes educational trajectories with an international projection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the session, new collaboration possibilities were explored within the framework of the PhD in Social Sciences at UDP. Specifically, the potential for holding annual colloquiums involving both institutions was addressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carlos Ahumada explained that the meeting also served to share the experiences of students and faculty who have participated in joint initiatives, such as COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) activities and in-person residencies. Additionally, potential areas for further collaboration were identified, including Architecture, Art, and Design.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor Universidad del Rosario, one of its strategic allies in Latin America and Chile is Diego Portales University. We have maintained academic and research collaboration relationships for several years, with mobility flowing consistently between Bogot\u00e1 and Santiago,\u201d commented Sandra Guar\u00edn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professor Madariaga also valued the encounter, stating that for the UDP PhD in Social Sciences, it is fundamental to strengthen ties with Latin American institutions. \u201cUniversidad del Rosario is undoubtedly a great, highly prestigious institution with which we share multiple links,\u201d the researcher noted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTherefore, we hope our faculty and students can be nurtured and benefit from this collaboration, strengthening these ties so we can build more active academic communities,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting aligns with UDP\u2019s strategic pillars of internationalization and global formation, fostering links with regional institutions of excellence and generating concrete opportunities for academic exchange, student mobility, and research collaboration.
