UDP faculty members can now apply for the new call to host international <\/span>Visiting Scholars<\/b>, an initiative aimed at strengthening research, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the university.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program, promoted by the <\/span>General Directorate of International Relations (DGRI)<\/b> and the <\/span>Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (VRII)<\/b>, seeks to facilitate academic stays ranging from <\/span>3 weeks to 3 months<\/b>. These stays are intended to contribute to research activities, teaching, workshops, and seminars across various faculties.<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative aims to create an impact across multiple educational levels\u2014both undergraduate and postgraduate\u2014while fostering international networks, joint publications, and curricular enhancement at UDP.<\/span><\/p>\n

Open Call<\/b><\/h3>\n

The application process is currently open for faculties interested in hosting international scholars of excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Required Documents (in a single PDF):<\/b><\/h3>\n

  • Application letter<\/b> signed by the Dean (max. 2 pages).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • CV of the Visiting Scholar<\/b> (max. 4 pages).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Detailed activity plan<\/b> (min. 2 pages), including a schedule, specific activities, and expected impact.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Letter of commitment<\/b> from the Visiting Scholar.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Estimated budget<\/b> (airfare and accommodation).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Evaluation Criteria:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Applications will be evaluated by the DGRI and VRII based on:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Candidate Excellence (30%)<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Quality of the activity plan (40%)<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Institutional benefits (30%)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Priority will be given to proposals with an <\/span>interdisciplinary focus<\/b>, disciplinary and geographic diversity, and high institutional impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

      • May 15, 2026:<\/b> Application deadline.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • May 30, 2026:<\/b> Publication of results.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • June to December 2026:<\/b> Period for academic stays.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Proposals may consider scholars from internationally prestigious universities, as well as other institutions renowned in their respective disciplinary fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Participating in this call allows UDP to strengthen its global networks, promote <\/span>“Internationalization at Home,”<\/b> and generate new high-level academic collaboration opportunities. Faculties are invited to review the guidelines and consider participating in this initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n
